Paytm and Its Entrepreneurial Journey in A Vuca Business World
Abstract
The purpose of the case study is to delve into and explore, how a young boy who studied
from a humble government school, mutated the e-commerce industry in India and developed
the largest highly competitive mobile platform of the country-Paytm. He also survived the
turbulence posited by the VUCA world (Bennet and Lemoine, 2014; Abidi & Joshi, 2015)
resulting in the emergence of an invincible combatant. Descriptive research design in
alignment with inductive approach was deployed to expound the study. The data collected
was synchronized and triangulated to condense the bigotry. What started as a platform
to provide prepaid mobile and DTH recharges, today offers comprehensive payment
services for customer and merchants.
